Israel-Hamas War: PM Modi Speaks With Netanyahu

Amid ongoing war after rocket attack by Hamas Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over phone on Tuesday (October 10). 

PM Modi said that Netanyahu had called and during this I told him that we are with you in difficult times. 

PM Modi posted on social media X and wrote, “I thank Prime Minister Netanyahu for calling me and giving me an update on the situation.” 

“The people of India stand strongly with Israel in this difficult time. India strongly condemns terrorism in all its forms”.

PM Modi had earlier also termed the rocket attack on Israel by Palestinian extremist organization Hamas on Saturday (7 October) as a terrorist attack. 

He wrote on Twitter on Saturday, “Shocked by the news of the terrorist attack on Israel. Our condolences are with the families of the deceased. 

According to news agency Associate Press (AP), Israel has increased the airstrike on the Gaza Strip and completely surrounded it. 

The health ministry in Gaza said more than 680 people had been killed and more than 3,700 injured in Israeli strikes. 

According to Al Jazeera’s report, more than 900 people have lost their lives in Israel. Meanwhile, Hamas’ military wing has threatened to kill an Israeli hostage every time Israel targets Gaza civilians in their homes ‘without any prior warning’.
