Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday claimed that Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao (KCR) wanted to join the BJP- led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) , but he was refused.
While addressing a rally in Nizamabad, Hyderabad, Prime Minister Modi said that today I am going to reveal a secret. When Hyderabad Municipal Corporation elections were held, BJP won 48 seats. Then KCR needed support. Before this election he used to respect me a lot. He used to welcome me at the airport and arrive with garlands, but later suddenly he stopped doing so.
PM Modi said, after the Hyderabad Municipal Corporation Election, KCR came to meet me in Delhi. She covered me with a shawl and showed me a lot of love. During this he said that hewants to join NDA . He also asked me to support him. I told him (KCR) that your actions are such that Modi cannot associate with you.
PM Modi said, ‘I told, we will not betray the people of Telangana. We did not give him entry in NDA . KCR had said that he has grown old now. Now if son KTR comes to you, give him your blessings. I said this is democracy. How can you give the throne to your son.. It is known that Telangana Chief Minister KCR has changed the name of his party ‘Telangana Rashtra Samithi’ (TRS) to ‘Bharat Rashtra Samithi’ (BRS) .
