Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will attend the third meeting of INDIA (Indian National Development Inclusive Alliance) to be held on August 31 and September 1 in Mumbai.
Kejriwal said this while answering the questions of journalists.
Kejriwal’s statement assumes significance as AAP spokespersons threatened to boycott the Mumbai meeting last week over a comment by the Delhi Congress.
Congress leader Alka Lamba’s statement came that in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the party is preparing for a strong contest on all the seven seats in Delhi.
Later, the Congress distanced itself from this statement and issued a clarification.
Here, Congress leader PL Punia said that the Prime Minister of the opposition alliance INDIA will be decided after winning the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
He said- All the MPs who win the election will choose the PM.
The Congress leader also claimed that BJP leader Smriti Irani would lose the Amethi seat. Punia said- In 2024 the people of Amethi will defeat Smriti Irani. Congress or INDIA alliance candidate will definitely win.
Congress leader Poonia also claimed that Smriti Irani will lose the Amethi seat. In 2024, the people of Amethi will defeat Smriti Irani. Congress or INDIA alliance candidate will definitely win.
Amethi is called the stronghold of the Congress. From 2004 to 2019, Rahul Gandhi was the longest serving MP of Amethi. However, in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Smriti Irani defeated him by 55120 votes. In 2019, Smriti Irani was elected MP for the first time.
It is believed that Rahul Gandhi was already apprehensive of his defeat. For this reason, he also contested from Wayanad seat in Kerala.
Rahul became MP by winning from Wayanad. There is talk of him contesting from Amethi seat in 2024.
INDIAS’s third meeting is going to be held in Mumbai on August 31 and September 1.
