Culture like kidnapping, robbery imported again in Tripura.
The police of Amtali police station managed to prevent the kidnapping of a worker who belongs from out of Tripura.
Two people has been arrested involved in this incident.
The police are interrogating the kidnappers Mohammad Mainul Islam and Zahir Hossain Chowdhury.
Jilal Ahmed, the missing worker, was rescued from Kulubari area of Sonamura sub-division under South Tripura District.
According to the details of the incident, Jilal Ahmed, a resident of Assam’s Bazarichara police station, came to Tripura for work.
He used to work in Badarghat area as construction worker . He was abducted by the kidnappers from Badarghat area of the capital Agartala on October 8.
After the abduction, the kidnappers contacted Jilal Ahmed’s family and demanded a huge ransom.
Jilal Ahmed’s family members went to Boxanagar in Sonamura sub-division on Tuesday as per the abductors’ orders in the name of paying ransom.
Jilal Ahmed’s family managed to detain a man named Zahir Hossain Chowdhury and handed him over to the police of Kalamchaura police station.
But family members failed to rescue Jilal Ahmed. Then the family members of the deceased Jilal Ahmed approached the police of Amtali police station on Tuesday afternoon.
As soon as the complaint was received, the police of Amtali police station started the investigation.
SDPO Ashish Dasgupta said that after investigating the incident, the police first arrested Mohammad Mainul Islam from AD Nagar Charipara area.
After questioning him, it is known that Zahir Hossain Chowdhury, who is connected to this incident, is in the custody of Kalamchaura police station.
Then under the leadership of Additional Superintendent of Police Urban of West Tripura District, with the cooperation of Sonamura and Kalamchaura Police Stations, a joint operation was conducted in the area of Sonamura and Kalamchoura Police Stations.
According to the confession of the arrested, the missing foreign laborer Jilal Ahmed was rescued from Kulubari area of Sonamura subdivision.
A specific case has been registered against the accused in AD Nagar police station.
SDPO (In-Charge) Ashish Dasgupta also said that arrested Mohammed Mainul belongs from Bazarichara Thana area of Assam. He has been living in Charipara area for a long time.
Another accused Zahir Hossain Chowdhury’s house is in Sukantanagar area of Bilonia. The police managed to rescue the abductor and the abductee, but the reason for the abduction is still unknown.
However, the police interrogatting the detainees to find out the motive behind the kidnapping.
