On June 28, eight people died in chariot tragedy in Kumarghat. Many were injured. Among them, three seriously injured are under treatment at GBP Hospital Agartala. They need better treatment.
The state government feels that they need more advanced treatment by sending them to Delhi.
Accordingly, the government has decided to send them to Delhi for better treatment.
Two patients were flown to Delhi on Saturday. One more patient will be sent to Delhi on Sunday.
On Saturday morning, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha went to GBP Hospital to inquire about their physical condition. Talked to doctors and health workers. After inquiring about the physical condition of the injured, the chief minister said that the condition of three was serious. Their condition is currently stable. Still they are being sent to Delhi for better treatment. For this, the doctors of the state have talked to the doctors of Delhi through video conference. The doctors of Delhi said that the three injured patients have received very good treatment.
The Chief Minister said that the rest of the services will be provided in Delhi now.
Health Secretary Dr Debashish Bose along with other officials were also present with the Chief Minister.
