Landslide In Lower Assam: Tripura Govt Issues Guidelines To Avoid Fuel Crisis

Heavy rains in lower Assam cut off rail and road communication with the state of Tripura. Roads including railways have been damaged due to heavy rain and landslide.  

As a result, Tapan Kumar Das, Additional Secretary to the Tripura State Government, issued a notification on Tuesday to fix the maximum amount for purchase of petrol and diesel so as not to create a severe fuel crisis in Tripura.

No body can buy more than a certain amount of petrol, diesel for bikes and cars. A maximum of Rs 200 has been fixed for two wheelers, Rs 300 for three wheelers and Rs 1000 for four wheelers. 

This rule has been effects across the state from Tuesday. 

The administration has issued a notification saying that no petrol, diesel will be allowed in two Wheelers and cars, more than the above mentioned quantities. 

It has also been said that drivers will not be able to buy petrol and diesel as per their wish.
