Local residents detained a young man with ganja from Panisagar railway station and handed him to the police. The youth arrested with ganja is a resident of Bihar.
The people of the local area got suspicious when they saw he was traveling from Agartala to Dharmanagar and ran away from the train as soon as he reached Panisagar station.
The people present at the station detained him. The local rickshaw drivers rescued him from the mob and handed him over to the Panisagar police.
The young man identified as Mukesh Kumar, father Nageshwar Rai, from Raghupur, Bihar.
The police of Panisagar police station searched him and seized a total of six kilos of ganja in three bundles inside the bag.
The arrested youth said, ganja was being transported from Agartala to Bihar.
However, during initial interrogation, he did not clarify where he was bringing the ganja from Agartala.
Meanwhile according to the report later police released him without produce him before the court.
