The Central Trade Union and the Sanjukta Kisan Morcha organized a rally and meeting in Agartala centering the historic day of Quit India Movement on August 9.
The rally has been organized on nine point demands. Starting from the Kisan Morcha office Melarmath the rally circumambulates various routes of the city.
Kisan Mochar Tripura State Convener Pabitra Kar said in this regard that along with the whole country, farmers and labor organizations holds rallies and meetings in Tripura also. Today on August 9 Quit India Movement Day, we are raising the voice of “Corporate looters, Quit India, Quit Agriculture”.
The nine-point demand includes disbursement of agricultural loans in a simple manner, withdrawal of electricity bill 2022, provision of Rs 10,000 pension to farmers, etc.
Kar also said that the memorandum will be sent to the President of India.
