The Ethics Committee has approved the investigation report on Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Mahua Moitra for alleged taking money for asking questions in Parliament (Cash for Query).
The Ethics Committee of Parliament held a meeting on Thursday (9 November).
All the MPs from the ruling party and the opposition were present in it. In this meeting, Chairman Vinod Kumar Sonkar presented the investigation report.
6 members of the committee voted in support of this report, while 4 members opposed it.
Now the committee will send the investigation report to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on Friday.
According to sources, the committee in its investigation report has recommended the cancellation of Mahua Moitra’s Lok Sabha membership.
