“GUPKAR DECLARATION” will be a trendsetter for kashmir as well as national political scenario? Only, time can answer it. Now what is the main funda of this declaration? “We all reiterate that we are bound, wholly, by the contents of the Gupkar Declaration and will unwaveringly adhere to it. We are committed to strive for the restoration of Articles 370 and 35A, the Constitution of J&K and the restoration of the State and any division of the State is unacceptable to us. We unanimously reiterate that there can be ‘nothing about us without us.” This is the statement of signatories of the GUPKAR DECLARATION signed on saturday. The signatories are, Dr. Farooq Abdullah, President, National Conference, Mehbooba Mufti, President, Peoples Democratic Party, GA Mir, President, J&K Pradesh Congress Committee, Sajad Gani Lone, President, Peoples Conference, MY Tarigami, CPI (M) and Muzaffar Shah, Vice President, Awami National Conference. All these parties alleged that the series of measures undertaken after the abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir were ‘grossly unconstitutional’ All the key political parties of valley once again come together under an umbrella unanimously and the base is article 370 and its restoration.
