Outbreak of malaria has occurred in different areas of Gandacherra sub-division of Dhalai district.
One person reportedly died due to malaria in Gondacherra. Several others are under treatment at Gandachhera sub-divisional hospital.
According to the news received from Gandacherra, several people of Jagabandhu Para have been infected with malaria.
Among the victims, a girl died while undergoing treatment at the Gandacherra sub-divisional hospital.
Dhalai District ADM, EM Rajesh Tripura, and duty doctors stood beside the deceased family.
The incident happened in Mohini Para of primary health center of Jagabandhu para.
Four members of the same family were admitted to Jagabandhu Para Health Center due to malaria.
Three of them has been test positive malaria PF. Among them, minor Tulsi Rani Tripura (12) died on Saturday, October 27th, as soon as she was admitted to the hospital.
The ADM of Dhalai district rushed to the news of the incident. So far 7 people are hospitalized. 6 of them are reported to be malaria positive.
The condition of six people under treatment in the hospital is said to be stable.
