Mamata Banerjee Likely To Visit Tripura On January 7 Next: Pijush

Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee likely to visit Tripura on January 7. Tripura Pradesh Trinamool Congress President Pijush Kanti Biswas said this in a press conference at the at the party headquarters in Agartala on Tuesday. 

He said that if the date is fixed, the people of the state will be informed when Mamata Banerjee will visit Tripura state.

So far it has been decided by the party that Mamata Banerjee will campaign in Tripura on January 7 after Meghalaya campaigning. 

Abhishek Banerjee, general secretary of the party, will be with her. After coming to the state, Mamata to visit Udaipur Mata Tripureshwari Temple. 

Apart from this, She will hold a meeting with the party workers at Rabindra Bhavan, Agartala. But next time when she come again she will hold election rally in Agartala. 

Pijush Kanti Biswas also said that the alliance is still being discussed. The political party to be aligned with whom the alliance can last for five years after the election. The list of candidates is being prepared with priority given to transparent faces and educated workers.

He also said that when the election is announced, the candidate list will be announced with the seal from the party high command. 

81 voters from 15 families of Boxanagar assembly constituency have joined Trinamool Congress from CPIM, BJP and Tipra Matha. 

They were welcomed into the party by handing over the party flag.


“People wanted freedom from left rule and formed BJP government. But the people of the state are disappointed even during the BJP government. So, the Trinamool Congress is in the process of joining to defeat the BJP” Pijush said.

 He also said, On January 2, Sonamura Trinamool Congress will hold a large public meeting. Hundreds of families from different political parties will join Trinamool Congress. 

On this day, he also said that various programs including distribution of blankets will be started on the occasion of Trinamool Congress foundation day on January 1. 

A rally will be held on December 28 at Banmalipur Assembly constituency. A program will be held on December 30 at Orient Chowmuhani in Agartala.
