Police of West Agartala police station arrested a person with fake notes from just concluded Chaitra Mela.
The arrested person identified as Ratan Deb. It is known that he is originally belongs from Kamalpur.
But currently he was living on rent in Krishnanagar New Boys Club area.
Fake currency note of Rs 5 thousand were recovered from him first. After that, the police recovered fake money of Rs 500 after conducting interrogation.
In all, fake notes of 5500 rupees were recovered from Ratan Deb. He was arrested from Orient Chowmuhani area with fake note.
The police have launched an investigation to find the source of the fake Indian currency notes.
