Following the letter issued by the Union Home Ministry on August 16 to implement the order of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India on the issue of violence in Manipur on August 7, two officers of the Tripura State Superintendent of Police were sent to the CBI on Wednesday.
Among them are AIGP, TSR Subrata Chakraborty and TSR 2nd Battalion Commandant Pinaki Samanta.
The said officers arw relieved from their present duties and directed to report to the CBI headquarters in Delhi immediately by the Under Secretary to the State Government.
