After Battala, GB Bazar area, an operation to clear the illegal encroachment took place in the heart of the city on Tuesday evening by Agartala Municipal Corporation.
On this day, under the leadership of Mayor AMC, Commissioner Shailesh Kumar Yadav, carried out the eviction drive from Post Office Chowmuhani to Old Motor Stand.
Those who occupied more than the specified space have been removed.
AMC also removes the goods of those who are illegally occupying the footpath and doing business.
The Mayor of AMC said that the efforts to relieve traffic congestion will continue. The Corporation will make arrangements to keep the footpaths clean.
