Medical Negligence: Tripura HC Orders For Rs 10 Lakh Compensation In Advocate Bhashkar Das Death Case

Tripura High Court orders for Rs 10 lakh as compensation in its order on Monday. Briefing to media Advocate Purushottam Roy Barman said that “on March 7, 2020 Advocate Bhashkar Das’s death was reported in a tragic accident. He was found in severe condition on road and fire brigade took him to GB Hospital. He was admitted in the Trauma Centre. But due to medical negligence after screaming the whole night in extreme pain as his bone was broken, he died. Our Advocate Pulak Saha had filed a case in the HC and we stated that Bhashkar Das died due to medical negligence and doctors on duty were responsible. Police role also was not satisfactory. Govt also constituted a death audit team where our statements were proven. After hearing all High Court orders for Rs 10 lakh compensation for medical negligence. This is an interim order.”
