A minor girl of Mungiakami Police Station area under Teliamura subdivision, Khowai district along with another minor girlfriend and two friends left home to have Prasad of Lakshmi Puja on Saturday night.
After going some distance from the house, a young man named Kshitish Debbarma showed fear with sharp knife and forced other three friend of the minor girl to leave the place.
Then Kshitish along with his accomplices Ajay Debbarma and Subikas Debbarma forcefully took the minor to a secluded place.
The three accused gang-raped the minor throughout the night. On Sunday morning, the minor returned home and told the family about the incident.
Then the minor’s family rushed to the Mungiakami police station and filed a case against the accused.
The Sub-Divisional Police Officer of Teliamura said that after a case was registered at the police station, the police arrested the accused Kshitish Debbarma, Ajay Debbarma and Subikas Debbarma.
Their age is between 18 and 20 years. A case has been registered against them under the POCSO Act.
They will be produced in court on Monday.
Meanwhile, after the case was filed at the police station, the police took the minor to the hospital for medical examination. Apart from arresting the accused, the police are continuing the investigation into the incident.
The Mungiakami police station is in a frenzy over the incident. Demands have been made to give severe punishment to the accused.
