In the last phase of the Karnataka election campaign, Sonia Gandhi came to rally for the first time on behalf of the Congress.
She addressed a public meeting in Hubli. As soon as she came on stage, Sonia called BJP a party that does not care about democracy.
Sonia said – BJP is such a party which specializes in grabbing power by dacoity and does not care about democracy.
Sonia said- BJP leaders threaten that if they do not win, then the people of Karnataka will not get the blessings of PM Modi and there will be riots. I want to tell the BJP that the people of Karnataka do not rely on anyone’s blessings, but on their own hard work. I have full faith that now the days of this state are about to change.
PM Narendra Modi commented on Congress in a public meeting, that this party supports terrorists.
Responding to which Rahul said- Our PM talks about terrorism, I understand terrorism better than him. Terrorists killed my family members, killed my grandmother, killed my father. I understand better than the PM what terrorism is and what it does.
Talking on the issue of unemployment, Rahul Gandhi said – today the country has the highest unemployment in 40 years. The youth of Karnataka are also troubled by this unemployment. We promise that after forming the government, every graduate will be given Rs.3000 per month for two years, while diploma holders will be given Rs.1500 per month.
Not only this, Rahul asked questions to the PM regarding inflation – He said that earlier the gas cylinder was of 400 rupees, now it has become Rs 1100. What did you do about it, Prime Minister? Petrol used to cost 60 rupees, it has become 100 rupees, what did you do about it? What did you do to remove unemployment?
Sonia Gandhi did not campaign for the Congress in any election nor participated in any public rally for the party after the 2019 Lok Sabha elections due to health reasons.
However, in October last year, she participated in Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra in Mandya, Karnataka.
Congress has left no stone unturned in the Karnataka election campaign this time. Party president Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi and general secretary Priyanka Gandhi have so far held 43 rallies, 13 roadshows, six dialogues with women and youth as well as five meetings with workers.
On Sunday, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi will hold a joint rally in Shivaji Nagar, Bengaluru.
