Mohan Bhagwat Meets Muslim Intellectuals. Imam Chief Terms Him “Rashtra Pita”

RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat reached the tomb of the late Maulana Jameel Ilyasi at the mosque on Kasturba Gandhi Marg to meet Muslim intellectuals and imams in Delhi on Thursday.

Bhagwat offered flowers to his mazar. Actually, he had reached here on the anniversary of Dr. Jameel Ilyasi. Sangh’s Indresh, Ramlal and Krishna Gopal were present with him.

Imam Umar Ilyasi and Shoaib Ilyasi were also present in the meeting.

Dr Imam Umar Ilyasi is the head of the All India Imam Organization.

Umer Ahmed Ilyasi terms RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat as “Rashtra Pita” (father of the nation).

Ilyasi told news agency PTI that “we all believe nation comes first”. “Our DNA is the same, only our method of worshipping god is different,” he added.

Mohan Bhagwat stayed in the mosque for about an hour.

Dr Jameel Ilyasi’s son Shoaib Ilyasi said that the arrival of Mohan Bhagwat is a big message for the country. This is a happy occasion for us. It is a message of love. That’s how it should be seen. It should not get into why Mohan Bhagwat went to the mosque etc. This is a pleasant situation for the country. This sends a message of love.

Shoaib also said that Mohan Bhagwat is not as his image is projected. He saw and appreciated my book on Shrimad Bhagwat Geeta. They had come here for a family function.

Let us tell you that the RSS has increased contact with Muslims recently and Bhagwat has held several meetings with the leaders of the community.

Last year too, he had a meeting with a group of Muslim intellectuals at a hotel in Mumbai.

In September 2019, Bhagwat also met Maulana Syed Arshad Madani, chief of Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind, at the RSS office in Delhi.

Significantly, some intellectuals from the Muslim community had met Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat last month.

During this, it has been agreed to work for harmony between Hindu-Muslim.

RSS has increased contact with Muslims in recent times. These Muslim intellectuals included former Chief Election Commissioner SY Qureshi and former Lieutenant Governor of Delhi Najeeb Jung.
