Parliament monsoon Session begins on Monday after the last session was short-terminated on March 25, following the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic. At first Parliamentarians paid tribute to ex-President Pranab Mukherjee. They also paid tribute to legendary Indian classical vocalist Pandit Jasraj, ex-Chhattisgarh CM Ajit Jogi, MP governor Lalji Tandon, UP ministers Kamal Rani and Chetan Chauhan, and ex-union minister Rahguvansh Prasad Singh and others who passed away this year. After the obituary Lok Sabha adjourned for an hour. There is no question hour or private members bill in this session due to covid pandemic. 47 items have been identified for being taken up during the Monsoon Session 2020, which includes 45 Bills and two financial items. Session will conclude on 1st October.
