NASA Asked For Technology From India: ISRO

India has created history by making soft landing of Chandrayaan-3 on the South Pole of the Moon. The American space agency NASA has also acknowledged the success of India. ISRO chief S Somnath said that NASA scientists have asked for technology from India.

When we developed Chandrayaan-3, we called scientists from NASA-JPL (Jet Propulsion Laboratory). These scientists have executed many rockets and many difficult missions in the world.

5-6 people from NASA-JPL had come to ISRO headquarters. We explained to them how Chandrayaan-3 will make a soft landing on the lunar surface on August 23. We explained our design to them. Also told how our engineers made it. After hearing all these things he just said, no comments. Everything is going to be good.

Somnath said these things at a program of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Foundation in Rameshwaram on Sunday, October 15. He said- India is a powerful country. Our knowledge and intelligence level is one of the best countries in the world.

ISRO chief also said that you (students) have to understand how times are changing today. Today we are making best equipments, best devices and best rockets. All this is happening because Prime Minister Narendra Modi has opened up the space sector.

‘I am telling the students to come into the space sector and make rockets, satellites and make the country strong in the field of technology. Not only ISRO, everyone can do something in the field of space. Today 5 companies are making rockets and satellites in India.

India is the only country to land a spacecraft on the South Pole of the Moon. With this, India is the fourth country after America, Soviet Union (Russia), China to land on the moon.

Somnath said that any of you can sit inside it in Chandrayaan-10. In Chandrayaan-10, we can send a female astronaut from India to the moon.
