” In the cabinet meeting under the leadership of the Prime Minister, the steps taken from time to time regarding climate change have been praised in the world” Union Minister Anurag Thakur said this in the press conference today.
Anurag Thakur said that, in the year 2021, in Glasgow, the PM had talked about an ambitious plan of India. In 2021, on August 15, an announcement was made regarding green hydrogen. There was also talk of a new job. The Union Cabinet has approved the Green Hydrogen Mission. Incentive will be given on the production of low cost green hydrogen in India. Rs 17490 crore will be spent in incentive. There will be an additional provision of 400 crores.
He said that every possible effort will be made to promote green hydrogen in the country. A target has been set to become self-sufficient in energy by the year 2047. To increase the use of green hydrogen in different sectors in the country, such a person who has knowledge in this sector will be appointed as mission director.
He said that India will be able to emerge as a global hub in the production of green hydrogen. This historic step has been taken by the Modi government. By the year 2030, there will be 8 lakh crore direct investment in Green Hydrogen Mission. Six lakh jobs will be created by this.
He said that the Union Cabinet has approved the 382 MW Sunni Hydrogen Electric Dam in Himachal Pradesh. Its capacity is 382 MW. It will be completed in five years and three months. Due to this, thousands of jobs will be created in Himachal. With this, Himachal will get 13% electricity free of cost.
