Tuesday (August 1) was the 9th day of the Monsoon Session of Parliament. Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha have been adjourned till 2 pm due to ruckus by opposition on Manipur issue.
The opposition’s no-confidence motion on the Manipur issue will be debated from August 8 to 10. PM can answer on this on 10th August.
This decision was taken in the meeting of the Business Advisory Committee of the Lok Sabha. Many members of the INDIA component staged a walkout angry at the lack of immediate discussion.
Mallikarjun Kharge, on behalf of the opposition, has sought time from President Draupadi Murmu to discuss the Manipur issue.
Congress MP Manickam Tagore said on Tuesday morning, ‘We want PM Modi to come out of this INDIA syndrome and talk on Manipur issue.’ He said that in the upcoming elections, INDIA will win one state after another and show the PM that his pride has lost before the people of this country.
The Delhi Services Bill has been introduced in the Lok Sabha On Tuesday .
Home Minister Nityanand Rai introduced it in the Lok Sabha, which was opposed by Adhir Ranjan Chowdhary. Adhir Ranjan Chowdhary said that this bill is against the order of the Supreme Court. This bill is related to transfer-posting of officers.
Uproar started as soon as the Delhi Services Bill was introduced in the Lok Sabha. The Aam Aadmi Party has termed it as the most undemocratic, illegal document presented in the Parliament till date.
Aam Aadmi Party had sought the support of many opposition parties to oppose this bill.
When the Bill was introduced in the Lok Sabha, the Aam Aadmi Party said, “The Bill to replace the Delhi Services Ordinance is the most undemocratic, illegal document introduced in the Parliament till date. Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi (Amendment) Bill, 2023 by removing democracy in Delhi”.
“All members of the opposition alliance ‘INDIA’ and members who respect the Constitution will strongly oppose the Bill to replace the Delhi Services Ordinance.” said the party.

According to sources, the BJD will support the Modi government in Parliament on the Delhi Services Bill. BJD will vote in support of the Delhi Services Bill in both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha.
After the support of BJD, the passage of the Delhi Service Bill in the Rajya Sabha is confirmed. This is considered a big blow for the Aam Aadmi Party.
BJD has nine MPs in the Rajya Sabha. At least 128 votes have now been confirmed in favor of the Delhi Services Bill.
