Ex president of Tripura Pradesh Congress hits the streets of kailasahar on tuesday protesting new farm law. Thousand of congress supporters took part in the protest agitation rally. Addressing the rally Birjit sinha said without the APMCs, the market would ultimately fall to the corporate greed of multinational companies who are profit-oriented and have no care for the conditions of poverty-stricken farmers. These new rules are meant to squeeze the farmers, their markets and to keep them under debt of corporates, he alleged. “It is a conspiracy to keep farmers under debt of corporates. It is clear that the Modi government in connivance with its corporate friends is acting like the East India Company,” he said.
