IMA Tripura State Conference is being held this year too.
This year’s theme is Holistic Healthcare with Professional Dignity. The name of this conference is T.R.I.M.A.C.O.N 2023.
Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha inaugurated the 53rd All Tripura Medical Conference at IMA Headquarters in Agartala on Saturday.
IMA Tripura State Branch President Dr. Damodar Chatterjee, Secretary Dr. Amar Kanti Chakma, Joint Secretary Dr. Priyajyoti Chakma and T.R.I.M.A.C.O. N 2023 Organizing Chairperson Dr. Abhijit Dutta and Organizing Secretary Dr. Rajib Debnath along with other doctors were present in the program.
Speaking in the program the Chief Minister said that 124 doctors had been engaged in the Covid situation. Big oxygen plants have been set up in the state. Cadre strength was 1480. It has been increased to 2170. The cadre strength in dental services was 81. It has been increased to 123. Initiatives have been taken to make AIIMS-style hospitals in the state. New Pharmacy Institute is planned at Amtali.
Chief Minister also said that 4 new nursing institutes have been established. He said that the government is proactive in providing health services to the last person in the society.
He said that development of health sector is possible through scientific sessions. Major surgeries are being done in the state. Trust must be earned. Only then the trend of going to out of state will reduce a lot, said the Chief Minister. He said that the figures should be further reduced.
