A review meeting was held under the chairmanship of minister Sushant Chowdhury at the head office of the food department at Gorkhabasti Agartala on Sunday after taking charge of the department.
The meeting was attended by special secretary and other officials of the concerned department.
The minister discussed with the officials and workers of the department how to reach the public distribution services more quickly.
The minister said that there is a discussion on how to strengthen the public distribution system. The department concerned plays a major role in bringing good governance to every home. Therefore, officials and staff of the department have been informed that the concerned department plays a major role in bringing good governance to every house, said the minister.
He also said that a meeting will be held with other workers including ration dealers in the coming days.
