No CIC Chief : Center Violating Supreme Court Order
The Central Information Commission was left after Chief Information Commissioner Bimal Julka retired earlier this week. Though the Supreme Court issued clear directions to the Centre last year to start the process of appointments to the panel a few months before a post is due to fall vacant, centre still silent in this matter. According to the RTI activists this is weakening the RTI and the transparency movement. Central Govt. should fill Vacent posts of CIC, demands the RTI activists.
