Amidst Israel’s increasing attacks on Gaza, now Iran also seems to be jumping into the war.
From the recent statements coming from Iran, it seems that Iran may do something big before Israel’s ground action on Gaza.
On Monday, Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian said that Israel cannot be allowed to take ground action in Gaza and if it does so, it will have to face consequences.
He said that action can also be taken on a large scale in the coming hours.
At the same time, on Tuesday, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said that if Israel’s crimes in Gaza continue, then no one will be able to stop Muslims around the world and Iran’s Resistance Force.
Speaking to Iran’s state TV, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian said that in the coming time, action can be taken on a large scale from Iran’s side.
He said, ‘The leaders of the Resistance Force will not allow the Israeli government to take any action in Gaza. All doors are open to us and we cannot remain indifferent to the war crimes being committed against the people of Gaza.
He urther said, ‘(Iran’s) Resistance Force can fight with the enemy (Israel) for a long time and in the coming hours we can expect a full-scale action from the Resistance Force.’
However, he did not give any information about what kind of action Iran would take against Israel and how it would stop it from ground action in Gaza.
Last week, Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei had said that his country was not involved in the October 7 attack on Israel by Palestinian Hamas fighters. But he appreciated the damage Israel suffered in the Hamas attack and its military and intelligence defeat.
At the same time, Khamenei’s top advisor Ali Akbar Velayati said in a statement that this successful operation of Hamas will definitely accelerate the downfall of the Israelis and will soon lead to their destruction.
He said, ‘I congratulate you on this great and strategic victory. My congratulations are a serious warning to the compromising people of the region.
After the Hamas attack, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanani said, ‘This operation … is a natural response of Palestinians to defend their rights and Israel’s warmongering and provocative policies. This is a movement of the oppressed people of Palestine.
Since its establishment in 1979, the Islamic country Iran has been a big supporter of Palestinian issues. Shia-dominated Iran has established itself as the leader of the Muslim world and the issue of Palestine is a very sensitive issue for it.
Iran also openly admits that it provides moral and financial support to Hamas, which controls the Gaza Strip.
