No Salary In 15 Month: Workers Of Children Shelter Home Stages Dharna In Agartala

The staff and workers of Children Shelter Home in Agartala stages Dharna by the District Inspector of Social Welfare and Social Education Department, Government of Tripura, for non-payment of their pendings. 

It is known from them that the workers of the Children Shelter Home placed a deputation to the District Inspector of Social Welfare and Social Education on Wednesday, demanding payment of all the outstanding expenses of the Children Shelter Home for the fourth quarter of the last financial year 2021-22 and the first of the fourth quarter of the financial year 2022-23.

 According to them, the arrears of two financial years are not being paid since last 15 months. In this situation it is difficult for them to manage the school. 

They said plan to close the schools have been taken. In this situation they will face extreme financial crisis. They are being paid Rs 2700 . Salary is not increased. They also demands increase of salary on this day. 

There were 170 schools in West Tripura District. Currently it stands at 125. These 125 schools have 250 workers including helpers. The number of children in the schools are 25. 

It is not possible to arrange their nutrition due to non-payment of dues. 

They also said that they will go to the higher authorities in the coming days to fulfill their demands.
