North East Discovery, Beyond Guwahati: Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train From Tuesday

This year, a special scheme has been brought by the Indian Railways for such tourists, who are willing to visit the Northeast. 

Through this, they can enjoy traveling in the North Eastern states for 15 days. For this, on one hand, where the facility of monthly installment has been given for payment, on the other hand, air-conditioned coaches have been arranged.

 The theme of this North East Circuit is – ‘North East Discovery: Beyond Guwahati’

Bharat Gaurav tourist train will run from Delhi’s Safdarjung on March 21. 

This special train named North-East Discovery-Beyond Guwahati will leave and will take a tour of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Tripura and Meghalaya.

A total of 156 passengers will be able to travel in this tourist train with first class and second class AC coaches. 

This train will take the tourist on a tour of Guwahati, Sivasagar, Jorhat and Kaziranga in Assam. So on the other hand Unakoti, Agartala of Tripura and Dimapur and Kohima of Nagaland will be taken on tour. Whereas, in Meghalaya it will travel to Shillong and Cherrapunji.

Apart from Delhi, Ghaziabad, Aligarh, Bharat Gaurav tourist train will stop at Tundla, Etawah, Kanpur, Lucknow and Varanasi.

Keeping in mind the middle class family, Railways has added the option of EMI under this tour package.

They can choose the option of EMI along with traveling by this train. For this, IRCTC has tied up with PayTm and Razorpay payment gateways. 


Tourists visiting North East from Indian Railways will also have the facility of payment on monthly installment. 

This train journey will be about 5 thousand 800 kilometers long. This modern deluxe AC train will have two fine restaurants, a modern kitchen, sensor best toilet facilities in coaches, a library and many other facilities with foot massagers. 

CCTV cameras, separate security guards for each coach along with electronic safes will also be present in the train.

The most important thing is that the per passenger fare of first class AC cabin will be Rs 1 lakh 31 thousand 990, the per passenger fare of first class coupe will be Rs 1 lakh 42 thousand 290 and the per passenger fare of second class AC coach will be Rs 1 lakh 6 thousand 990. .

In this, apart from train fare, arrangements for night stay in AC hotels, travel by buses and excursions, expenses of travel insurance etc will also be included.


Obviously, this special initiative of Indian Railways will greatly benefit those passengers who are planning to visit North East.

They can enjoy traveling to these states with only 15 days holiday and monthly rent in installments.

In order to attract the attention of tourists from all over the world to Indian tourism, the Bharat Gaurav Yatra scheme was brought in the year 2021 by the Indian Railways.
