The OC of Nabunbazar Police Station of Amarpur Block under South Tripura District has been attacked by the family members of a drug dealer.
The police officer was attacked while he went to arrest the drug dealer.
The incident took place in Sutradhar Para area under Nabunbazar Police Station on Sunday afternoon.
A local resident said that Kabir Hossain, a resident of that area, has been selling drugs in the Sutradhar Para area under Nabhunbazar police station for a long time.
On Sunday afternoon, OC Pritimoy Chakma of Nabunbazar police station entered in the house to arrest the drug dealer in civil dress.
When Kabir Hossain was arrested, his family members attacked OC Pritimoy Chakma.
A large police force of Nabhunbazar police station rushed to the spot after receiving the information. Panic erupted for some time in the whole area due to this incident.
