Bijit Deb, another one of ‘10323’ sacked teachers died prematurely of cancer at the age of 43. He was a PGT Teacher.
The late teacher was employed as a shopkeeper in a shop in Dharmanagar for a few days after his dismissal.
Unable to support his family, he joined the work of a mason and day laborer in his area. The elderly father passed away a few years ago.
He was living in dire straits. In the meantime, he was diagnosed with incurable cancer. He could not be treated that way. Couldn’t even take medicine.
He left elderly mother, wife and two minor daughters. Late Bijit Deb, a resident of Chitaldohar in Bishnupur village panchayat of Dharmanagar subdivision under North Tripura district , was loved by all sections of the village. His death has cast a shadow of mourning everywhere.
With his premature death, the toll of 10323 dismissed teachers reached at 158.
