Let us tell you that earlier the Central Government had constituted an eight-member committee on One Country One Election.
The Law Ministry had also issued a notification regarding this. It has been said that in the national interest, it is necessary to hold simultaneous elections in the country.
In such a situation, the Government of India constitutes a high level committee to examine the issue of holding simultaneous elections.
This committee will be headed by former President Ram Nath Kovind.
