These leaders have claimed that the Apple company itself (Apple iPhone) has shared with them the information about the phone hacking attempt by sending a message.
Meanwhile, Aam Aadmi Party Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha said in a long post that he ‘has received a notification from Apple, warning about a possible government-sponsored spyware attack on his phone.
Chadha said the “espionage” is taking place just months before the general elections. This should be placed within the broader attacks on the opposition.
However, in the statement issued by Apple it has been said that we cannot talk about any particular state sponsored hacker. It is possible that some of Apple’s information may be a false warning.
Three people in the office of Congress MP Rahul Gandhi have also received similar messages. At the same time, government sources have said that officials were aware of these messages.

Trinamool MP Mahua Moitra has also received Iphone security threat alert. She claimed that along with Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav and Aam Aadmi Party’s Raghav Chadha, CPIM general secretary Sitaram Yechury and Congress’s Pawan Kheda were also warned about the hacking attempts.
At the same time, Shiv Sena UBT spokesperson Priyanka Chaturvedi shared the message received on her phone on social media.

According to Apple, these security threat alerts are triggered when its systems detect “activity consistent with a state-sponsored attack. The notifications are likely triggered by an “algorithm malfunction” and that a detailed statement about the error would be released soon.
