The G20 meeting is going to be held at Pragati Maidan in Delhi between 9-10 September.
An invitation card has been sent from Rashtrapati Bhavan to attend the dinner of this meeting.
Instead of President of India, President of Bharat has been written on the invitation card.
Congress leader Jairam Ramesh wrote on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), ‘This news is indeed true. The invitation that Rashtrapati Bhavan has sent for the G20 dinner on 9 September. In which Bharat is written instead of India’
Jairam further wrote, according to the Article 1 in the Constitution, INDIA which is called Bharat shall be a union of states, but now this union of states is also under attack.
Raghav Chadha also reacted to this and tweeted, BJP has started a new debate by writing President of India instead of President of India on the invitation card of the G20 conference. How can BJP destroy INDIA?
“The country does not belong to any political party; It belongs to 135 crore Indians. Our national identity is not the private property of the BJP which it can change as it pleases” he said.
After half an hour of Jairam Ramesh’s tweet, Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma also made a tweet. In which he wrote, Republic of India – feeling happy and proud. Our civilization is rapidly moving towards immortality.

BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh said, why is there a problem in saying or writing India? Why are you feeling ashamed? Our nation has been called India since ancient times and it has also been mentioned in our Constitution. They are trying to create misunderstanding without any reason.
