Parliament’s Budget Session Washout: Opposition Holds ”Tiranga March’

The proceedings of the last day of the budget session of the Parliament could not be completed due to the uproar and it washout.

With this, Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha have been adjourned till the next session.

After the Parliament was adjourned, the opposition parties led by the Congress conducted a tricolor march at Vijay Chowk.

Congress and 12 other opposition parties have boycotted the evening tea party organized by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla to protest against the demand for a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) on the Adani issue.

During the last 14 sittings, there was a lot of uproar in both the Houses over the demand of Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) on the Adani-Hindenburg case and cancellation of Rahul Gandhi’s membership. BJP MPs also created ruckus over Rahul Gandhi’s statement in London.

Due to these, even a single proceedings of the House could not go on.

Union Law Minister Kiren Rijiju said that today again Congress MPs and other opposition leaders together created a ruckus in the House. Today, they again insulted the House by wearing black clothes. This country is watching what Congress is doing. Congress neither believes in the constitution nor respects the law of the land.

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge said that we want JPC demand on Adani issue, but why is it afraid to form the government. How did Adani’s wealth become 12 lakh crores in just two and a half years. Why Modi ji is giving so many things to only one person.

He said that whenever we wanted to give notice to discuss this issue in the Parliament we were never allowed to speak.

“This has happened for the first time. I have never seen anything like this in 52 years. Here for 2 years I am seeing that the people of the ruling party themselves are not allowing the House to function” He said.
