On Sunday afternoon, Amtali police station was gheraoed by local residents alleging police not taking action against drug dealers.
According to the local residents drug dealer Pradip Das is running drug trade in the area with outsider youths.
They are entering people’s houses and threatening people. The police not taking any action even after going to the police station and lodging complaint against the drug dealers, said the local residents.
When people go to the police station to report against the accused the police are intimidating the common people in various ways, alleged the local residents.
