After passing of 14 days police forces till today unable and clueless to rescue three NPCC workers abducted by suspected NLFT (BM) extremists. Security forces on sunday arrested two extremists including a former rebel from Chawmanu area of the Dhalai district. Police sources said that one under ground extremist identified as Arjun Reang (21) was arrested on sunday during a combing operation in the interior parts of the Dhalai district. Meanwhile despite ongoing co-ordinated operations the security forces till today unable to trace the kidnapped persons. Police sources added that security forces with the help of Intelligence Agencies and Bangladesh Border Guards are now conducting search operations in adjoining border areas in Bangladesh. Notably NPCC site manager Subhas Bhowmik, labour coordinator Gunmohan Tripura and driver Subal Debnath kidnapped on gun point on December 7 when they went to a nearby locality to collect drinking water at Maldakumar Para under the Ganganagar Police Station area.
