The Tripura government has been forced to take action against ruling party MLA Jadab Lal Nath under pressure from the opposition.
In the first session of the 13th Legislative Assembly, BJP MLA Jadab Lal Nath was accused of watching pornography while sitting in the Assembly.
The video went viral on social media. CPI (M) MLA Ashok Mitra wrote to the speaker demanding action against the accused BJP MLA.
At the beginning of the budget session last Friday, the opposition parties jointly created pressure on the government to take action against the accused MLA Nath.
They demanded the matter must be referred to the Ethics Committee. CPI (M), Congress, TIPRA Moths party strongly protested the role of the ruling party.
Three MLAs from Motha, one from the Congress and one from the CPI(M) were expelled from the assembly on this issue.
However, in the second half, the punishment was withdrawn on the proposal of the Chief Minister.
The ruling party was under pressure due to the severe criticism for the past three days.
Treasury Bench MLA Kishore Barman proposed in the Legislative Assembly on the tone of the opposition’s demand after 10:00 pm.
CPI (M) council leader Jitendra Choudhury said, “Donkeys eat water, it eats mud.”
