“Tripura State Electricity Corporation has made all arrangements for uninterrupted power supply during the Durga Puja festival. Additional electricity provision is there keeping in mind the demand of electricity. Accordingly, the power service was normal across the state on the fifth and sixth. There was no shortage anywhere.”

Later, the minister said that electricity service was normal in the state on the fifth and sixth days. On the night of the sixth, the power demand reaches a peak of 304 MW.

He said that this demand has decreased mainly because many people go out to see puja at night. The minister expressed hope that the electricity demand will not reach over 340 megawatts in Saptami.
Minister Ratan Lal Nath visited 79 Till load dispatch centers on this day. An additional control room has been opened for the puja under the leadership of DGM.
Minister Ratan Lal Nath said that the employees of Vidyut Nigam are working in the larger interest to keep the service normal.
