A practising lawyer in Agartala came under
attack from miscreants at the Gurkhabasti areas on Monday last.
The Lawyers for Democracy (LFD) strongly protested the unscrupulous incident of attacking and harassing Jyotismay Das by miscreants.
An FIR was lodged with the NCC Police Station in Agartala indicating the names of the miscreants but no arrest was made when the last report came in.
The incident of the attack on working lawyers on duty stirred and created panic among the professionals.
The legal practitioner’s body, the Lawyers for Democracy (LFD) strongly condemned the incident and demanded stern legal action against the accused.
Senior Advocate Purushottam Roy Barman also condemned the incident and urges the police to nab the culprits.
