After 15 days of 12-hour bandh, Tipra Motha, the main opposition party of the state, resumed its program for the demand of Greater Tipraland.
Former minister and Tipra Motha leader Mebar Kumar Jamatia announced the program in a press conference on Thursday.
He said that on September 30, the bandh was completed peacefull in the TTAADC area from Dharmanagar to Sabroom in the state.
” In total 35 places the picketers peacefully raised their demands. And common people along with the police administration extended their hand of cooperation” he said.
Mebar Jamatia thanked the police administration and common people for that. He said that there will be a mega rally by Tipra Motha in Khumulwang on October 14. Every person is invited to participate on behalf of the committee.
Mebar Kumar Jamatia expressed hope that at least 30 to 40 thousand people will participate in this mega rally .
Tipra Motha leader Rajeshwar Debbarma was also present in the press conference organized on the same day.
He said that the leadership of every block committee has been asked to participate in this mega rally peacefully. He also announced the Central Advisory Committee of Motha.
Meanwhile after meeting with the Chief Minister on Wednesday night, TIPRA Motha founder Pradyot Kishore Debbarman went to Secretariat on Thursday and held meetings with ministers and officials of various departments.
Coming out of Civil Secretariat , Pradyot Kishore said that the government is saying that there is no shortage of funds. Why is it not being released to ADC despite having funds? He questioned it.
In response to the questions of the journalists, he said that there is a big public meeting of Tipra Matha party in Khumulwng on October 14. From the statement of the so-called Maharaja, it is clear that the ADC administration is suffering from financial crisis. Development of ADC area has been stalled for a long time. Anger is growing among the people. Dream peddlers are running around to appease the anger of the people.
