Preparations for Durga Puja celebration are in full swing in city Agartala as well as in other parts of Tripura.
This year the enthusiasm among the people is comparatively high from last two years due to the absence of COVID restrictions.
But almost all the apparel and clothing stores as well as jewelry shops expecting more crowds especially of teenagers, adults and children.
” Government employees yet to come out for shopping. We are hopping that this week our sale to get momentum as Puja Advance and Salary of the government employees to be release today” said a renowned businessman to The Tripurapost on Monday.
” Online shopping is a big factor in Tripura. People now orders their essentials through online. But still especially during festive occasion our expectation remains high as a large section of customers believes in visiting outlets” said the businessman.
Meanwhile, most of the idols of Goddess Durga have already been made and artists have been seen giving final touches to the finished idols.

Various themes are being used to design these pandals to attract the attention of these pandals so that unique identity can be achieved by these clubs.
Similarly, it was observed that in some prestigious clubs the idols of Goddess Durga and other deities have been designed with unique themes.
The auspicious Durga Puja festival already began on September 26, when artists paints the eyes of the finished idols of Goddess Durga on the occasion of Mahalaya.
Durga Puja is being seen everywhere in the state. The biggest and main festival of the Bengali community is just 5 days left to start during Mahasashti on 1st October, when Goddess Saraswati, Lakshmi, Lord Ganesha and Kartik along with ‘Maa Durga’ ‘ will be worshipped.
