Probe In Adani Issue: Opposition Marched From Parliament To ED Office

The opposition is constantly raising issues related to Adani in Parliament to corner the central government. 

Opposition MPs have started march from Parliament to ED office to submit memorandum on Adani issue in Delhi on Wednesday.

 However, the NCP and TMC were not participated in the protest march by opposition MPs from Parliament to the ED office in Delhi.

The Delhi Police informed the opposition MPs marching at Vijay Chowk not to march further as Section 144 CrPC is in force and no movement is allowed here.

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge said during march that we all are going to meet director ED to submit a memorandum in Adani scam. But the government is not letting us go anywhere near Vijay Chowk, they have stopped us. There is a scam of lakhs of rupees, LIC, SBI and other banks are ruined. 

further he said that the government is giving money to a man to buy government property. PM is encouraging someone who had less wealth earlier but now has wealth worth Rs 13 lakh crore. How did this happened? who is responsible? Who is giving money? There should be an inquiry. What is the relation between PM Modi and Adani?

Also Mallikarjun Kharge said that we all MPs from 17-18 political parties are here and we want to know how Adani earned lakhs and crores of rupees within 2.5 years. They have stopped us here. We are 200 and there are 2000 policemen here, so they want to suppress our voice.

Earlier the leaders met at the office of Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge in the Parliament House complex as part of their joint strategy on the issue. 


Uddhav Thackeray faction leader Sanjay Raut said that this march is necessary, it will be our representation towards the ED office. The way the BJP government in the country is targeting the opponents of its state, as if the people in power are washed of milk. They target people like us who question them.

Tell that opposition parties including Congress are demanding JPC to investigate Adani case. 

Even in the current budget session, the opposition parties are vocal on the Adani issue. At the same time, the ruling party is demanding an apology from Rahul Gandhi for the statement made in London. 

Due to which the Parliament is not able to function. The Congress is actively opposing the Adani case. On this issue, the Congress is trying to surround the government and is demonstrating across the country. 

Congress committees in various states are taking out protest marches on the Adani issue. 

At the same time, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge is also continuously targeting the Modi government in the House. 


The Trinamool Congress separately staged a sit-in in front of the Gandhi statue in the Parliament complex over the LPG price hike and demanded an answer from the government. TMC MPs raised slogans against the government over the hike in LPG prices and demanded that Prime Minister Narendra Modi answer them.
