According to the schedule, MLA Binoy Bhushan Das took oath as the protem Speaker of the Tripura Legislative Assembly on Wednesday.
Governor Satyadeo Narayan Arya administered oath to Binoy Bhushan Das at Raj Bhavan.
It is to be noted that after the announcement of the results of the Assembly elections on March 2, the members of the Council of Ministers have already taken the responsibility of their respective offices after taking the oath.
This time MLA Binoy Bhushan Das took oath as Protem Speaker of the Legislative Assembly following the rules.
Governor Satyadeo Narayan Arya administered the oath to Vinay Bhushan Das at Raj Bhavan on Wednesday. The ceremony started with the recitation of the oath by playing the national anthem.
Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, Finance Minister Pranajit Singh Roy, Power Minister Ratan Lal Nath and other members of the Council of Ministers were present.
State Chief Secretary JK Sinha along with other administrative officials were also present.
Panisagar MLA Binoy Bhushan Das assumed the duties of the protem speaker of the Legislative Assembly by taking oath on this day.
At the end of the ceremony, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha felicitated Protem Speaker by handing over a wreath.
Notably BJP, CPIM and Congress MLAs will take oath in the Assembly on Thursday.
Thirteen Legislators from Tipra Motha will take oath in the Protem Speaker’s Chamber on Friday.
Protem Speaker Binoy Bhushan Das will read the oath to them.
