District Session Court of West Tripura District ordered 10 years rigorous imprisonment to UD Clerk of Health Department, Government of Tripura Uttam Kumar Debbarma, accused in the rape case.
The court had already convicted him. The court announced his sentence on Monday.
According to the details of the incident, the clerk of the health department, Uttam Kumar Debbarma, was accused in the rape case.
A specific case was filed in this regard on August 25, 2019 in Bodhjung Nagar Police Station.
After investigation of the case, the officer submitted the charge sheet to the court.
After hearing the evidence and a lengthy hearing, the court convicted Uttam Kumar Debbarma.
On Monday, the court of District and Sessions Judge of West Tripura District announced the sentence of Uttam Kumar Debbarma, who is found guilty in this case.
A rigorous imprisonment of 10 years and a fine of Rs 50,000 has been ordered. The court has ordered an additional 6 months imprisonment if not collected the fine.
