Recruitment Stopped Due To Financial Crisis: CEM In TTAADC Session

Winter Session of three days Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council, TTAADC, started on Monday.

In an answer CEM Purna Chandra Jamatia informed that there are total 12,822 vacant posts in TTAADC administration and till now there is no proper recruitment policy.

He also informed that due to lack of fund TTAADC unable to fill up these posts.

Meanwhile on the first day of the session the ruling TIPRA Motha introduced a bill seeking amendment of the village committee election rule to ensure that the electoral activities remain confined within the TTAADC.

The bill proposed to ensure that the counting agents for the village committee elections must be from the same village and all the counting process must remain confined within the TTAADC areas.

It was one of the in total 23 bills placed before the council. Other bills includes The TTAADC Police Service rules 202.

Chief Executive Member Purna Chandra Jamatia placed 22 bills while another one was
placed by the Deputy Chief Executive Member Animesh Debbarma. All the bills were taken up for discussion and will be put on vote on the last day of the session on December 28.

The bills include fourteen customary laws of various tribe and sub-tribes.

In first day of the session the Executive Deputy Chief Member Animesh Debbarma alleged that during the previous administration had distributed lots of fake pattas with a political purpose. bringing some changes in the policy of the state government.

He further stated in reply to an additional question that the ADC administration needs Rs 350 crore for salary and allowances to appoint in 32 vacant posts of JDOs, but due to financial crisis and lack of adequate fund it was not possible for appointing the Sub JDOs even after 40 years of the formation of the TTAADC.

The CEM Jamatia mentioned with a tone of pathos that the ADC administration is conditioned to conduct the works of the JD0 posts with the services of employees from other departments.
