Relief-House: Displaced Bengalis Submits Memorandum To CM Biplab Deb

Bengali Udbastu Committee of Kanchanpur sub division submitted a memorandum to the CM Biplab Deb demanding a solution for their problems which was created after the arrivals of BRUs. It has been 20 years the Bengali families who displaced from their hone due to alleged attack by the brus, are still waiting for the government to solve their issues. They also informed that not only Bengalis but 74 families of MIZO also forced leave their home and land. “The bru people arrived in kanchanpur on 1997. And since than they started attacking us. They looted our belongings and cattles and for which in the year 2000 we forced to leave our home. At least 600 families left the home and now only 322 families are living in Kanchanpur sub-division” the memorandum reads. “From 2000 – 2006 the government provided us relief but suddenly they stopped relief and given Rs 10k and 24 sheets to construct a house. But what about land which we buy by spending money? so we have submitted memorandum to CM demanding to provide financial held of those lands which has they left, house under PMAY” The memorandum informed
