The Republican Party of India wants to fight in alliance with the BJP in seven seats in the upcoming assembly elections in Tripura.
Satyajit Das, president of the state committee of the Republican Party of India, told in a press conference at the Agartala Press Club on Saturday.
He also said that the Republican Party of India has an alliance with the BJP in Maharashtra. A minister from the Republican Party of India is in Centre. So the Republican Party of India want to fight in an alliance with the BJP on ten seats in the upcoming assembly elections in Tripura.
But BJP disagreed. Therefore, it has been demanded to fight in alliance in seven constituencies.
Party said that if the BJP does not want to form an alliance in about seven seats, then the Republican Party will choose an alternative path.
They hinted at the ongoing talks with other political parties on behalf of the Republican Party.
