Miscreants once again assaulted passengers and vandalized their car on Thursday night. The victims, who narrowly escaped serious injury, sought shelter at the TSR camp after the attack.
The victims, comprising two Field Officers from the Rubber Board and two Rubber Traders/Dealers, were on their way home in the evening.
According to the report a group of the miscreants stopped their car near Subal Singh hills under Khowai district . Seven miscreants appeared and physically assaulted them
The injured victims sought shelter at the Mohan Bari TSR camp.
The victims were directed to proceed to Khowai and register a formal complaint at the local police station.
The four individuals-Amit Singh Yadav and Deepak Mondal, Field Officers of the Rubber Board, along with Rubber trader/dealer Bishal Debbarma and another- formally lodged a written complaint at the Khowai Police Station.
Later, they received medical treatment at Khowai District Hospital.
Locals have demanded police vigil on this route in view of the threat of robbery and attack.
